With “Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea,” (hereafter referred to as “the game” or “the atelier”), a brand-new RPG that lets you live a fantasy story on your own, we are striving to tell a new story with a tremendous range of possible approaches that has not been told before.
We are deeply aware of the fantasy elements of the game’s world and its setting, and have collected copious amounts of lore about the Lands Between and their people. The story of the game began to take shape when we created a guiding document for the formation of the story, a process that we will continue in the future. In our creating process, we not only created a story that satisfies our own expectations, but also try to remain in touch with the expectations of the player.
The atelier involves two different approaches to adventure: the action of battle and the investigations of the discovery of new mystery. The gameplay of battle and investigation will be linked in unexpected ways in the future, but in order to make the game’s story interesting, we first had to outline the two routes independently.
Using the setting of the game as a launching point, and drawing from a vast array of data, we managed to establish a new premise for the fantasy genre, as well as to craft the current story. We are always aiming to redefine what an RPG is, and this genre-shifting work is the result of our past and present studies. The atelier is created to create an exciting RPG adventure with a new approach to gameplay.
The characters and the world of the atelier are separated from each other in a grand fashion, and each of them is tightly connected with its own story.

The Lands Between is a world divided into three separate realms, each ruled over by six Guardians. Each realm has its own capital and level cap. Each realm also hosts an array of Dungeons that you must take through on your journey to power. Each dungeon is separated in level from its counterpart, even if they are both located within the same realm.
Cal: A land ruled by priests. Light magic is used, and enemies wield dark magic. Royal capital.

Automapper: Null passed to constructor of destination class
I have a mapping from object A -> B, and back. The problem is that sometimes B contains a property with null value. Automapper throws a null exception during AutoMapper.CreateMap() (in OnMap() method) like this:

After a video showing a never-before-seen cutscene from Final Fantasy XIII-2 began making the rounds yesterday, fans were delighted to learn that it ended up on the Western PlayStation 3!
